The old Summer Palace has around 400 kinds of lotus flowers, covering an area of about 1000 mu. If you visit the palace, don’t miss the lotus Festival. Time: July 1 (Thursday) —August 31 (Sunday) Opening hours: 7:00—22:00 (Monday to Thursday) 7:00—2:00 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Ticket Price: CNY 10 (Old Summer Palace) CNY25 (through ticket) Transportation Info: take subway 10 to Haidianhuangzhuang (海淀黄庄) and then transfer subway 4 and get off at Yuanmingyuan (圆明园) Station.
