I heard that Messi and some other football players once entered Maradona’s room and pled him to stay after their defeat in South Africa. Messi even cried. However, it seems that Maradona has made up his mind not to coach Argentina any more. Interviewed by a local media, Maradona said: “It is done my cycle has ended. I have given everything, now I will spend time with my family - but I am not depressed” According to previous news, Argentina’s Football Association was planning to punish some football players and their coaches. Now AFA has not announced that Maradona will be replaced. Let’s wait and see. Maradona and his men were greeted by thousands of their fans.

I think if the players are among the really best and the goal for the team is set for the gold and then... a disaster... Perhaps can say that the coach has not been as good as his team...? If, then it is only natural that the coach resigns. Carlos

Diego is the God to Argentina. He was assigned as the coach because he can bring a lot of money to AFA. That's why AFA hasn't made any announcement on Maradona's resign.

It is said that Argentina has four commercial games to play this year. If Maradona resign, Argentina will lose a large of money from their sponsors.
