New cable car route to run on Huashan Mountain from April 1
Mar 27, 2013 01:48
Huashan Mountain is famous for its steepness. So far, there is only one cable car route that run from Wamiao Gou to North Peak. Visitors who take the cable car can only reach North Peak and then visit East Peak, South Peak and West Peak on foot. When they finish their visit, they need to reach the North Peak to take the cable car to get down the mountain. During the holiday periods, the cable car is operated under overload to transport visitors. However, the visitors still have to wait for hours to take the cable car.

From April 1, another new cable route to West Peak will be put into operation. A single trip costs CNY 140 during the peak season and CNY 120 during the low season. So expensive, right?

It just costs CNY 80 (peak season) and CNY 45 (low season) to take the cable car to the East Peak. In fact, the new cable car route to the West Peak is 4211 meters long, more than two times longer than the old route to the North Peak. No wonder the ticket price for the new route is much more expensive than that for the old one.

Look at this picture and you will see how busy the cable car
