A lady buys an apartment on the first floor. According to the contract with the real estate developer, she owns the front and back gardens around her apartment. Recently, she has been driven crazy by her upstairs neighbors.

Her upstairs neighbors throw trashes randomly from their homes. Her gardens are full of used toilet paper, cigarette butts, babies’ waste, toothbrushes, fruit skins, sanitary towels etc… She has talked to her neighbors many times. However, they don’t stop throwing trashes outside of their windows. She also asks help from the property management company in her community. It doesn’t work.

She is despaired and realizes that her neighbors won’t change their habits. Therefore, she equips a loud speaker and a camera outside of her apartment to swear at those who throw trashes randomly and record videos as evidence. She plans to sue her neighbors and asks for compensation. Unfortunately, her lawyer tells her that it’s difficult to ask for compensation.

It happens in many neighbourhood especially in Asia and the Pacific. A few years ago, a tenant threw a flower pot from 11th floor and hit a passer-by and he was hospitalised for weeks.

Wan,

Was there something wrong with the tenant's head? A normal person wouldn't have thrown anything from a tall building. They know that the fallen stuff might hurt the passers-by.

Different people have different attitude, dear BBQQ. Last week I was in Shenzhen, and there was a man who liked to spit in the restaurant. So we moved to another restaurant nearby.

Why didn't the restaurant owner drive him away? If I were him, I would ask the man to get out. His bill wouldn't be charged. Keeping such a customer will drive other customers away. The restaurant will lose more money if he allows these men to dine.

The workers and the owners perhaps were busy with other customers. After all it's the manner of a client and not the restaurateur's fault.

So they ignored you? It shouldn't have happened if they provided a better service.

Haha, it's a free enterprise dearest BBQQ. I can choose where I want to eat. I don't like to demand, if I don't like I just go away and find some other eateries.

Wan,

The customer can choose wherever they dine but the restaurant should do ther best to let the customers stay. Otherwise, they won't profit money. A wise restaurant owner never let one customer scare other customers away.

Have you been to a restaurant that makes you want to leave immediately?

Yes, Wan. I leave immediately if there is no empty seat.
