Can a foreigner buy a train ticket from a station in shenzhen or have to buy through china travel?

GUEST40882 Yes, you can buy a train ticket at a railway station by yourself, but the staff there can speak limited Chinese so you may meet troubles. In addition, you are advised to book a ticket in advance. If you buy it at the station, it's likely you can't get a ticket with seat, especially on the peak travel days. So I advise you to use TravelChinaGuide to buy the ticket. It's very reliable.

Of course you can buy a ticket from Shenzhen station.
You have to show your passport to the ticket officer,then he/she will certify your passport.

Once your passport is certified by the China Train System,you can book your train ticket online. I help my foreign friends to do this.

Chinese can use their ID card to get ticket on automatic ticket machine,though foreigner can book train ticket online,they still need to get ticket from the sales window.
