guest50163	Ive been trying to determine exactly if a Philippine passport holder needs any type of visa to transit Shanghai with a 7 hour connection out of China to a final destination.Can anyone confirm that she does or doesn't please? I'm pretty sure there isn't a need other than a Transit Visa. Transit Visas are issued by the carrier at time of check in or do I need to go through an Embassy ? Please and thanks in advance...

GUESTJOHN	Hi, you don't need a transit G type if you will go to a third country or region different from the last one you come from after transiting in Shanghai. Otherwise, you need to apply for it from the Chinese embassy or the consulate before your trip.
