how do I get to Zhangjiajie

CHINASG00 Points: Join Date: Jul 5, 2004 Status: offline	I need to buy a train ticket from shanghai to Zhangjiajie, soft sleeper. How do I get the train time table and book a ticket ? Is there a way to go by bus ?

hello, this is dior. I am a guide.
if you want to go to zhangjiajie by train, you can buy the tickets of:
1) No.1067. this train leaves shanghai west railway station at 12:08 and will arrive zhangjiajie at 13:01 on the next day.

2) No.1527. this train will arrive at huaihua. You can take a bus from huaihua to zhangjiajie.

Sep and July also can be said another peak season for train though less than the Spring Festival, May Day, National Day. So you'd better book the ticket 7 days before, which is the most secure:D

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Probably best to go via Shanghai. Take bus for Huangshan -- Shanghai and then fly Shanghai -- Zhangjiajie.

If i go by train my route is Jiujiang-Zhuzhou-Zhangjiajie. However possibly i will have to go by bus because the train ticket will end. How can i get to Zhangjiajie from Lushan by bus?

I mean that I will have not enough time to buy tickets to train or tickets buy them all. So I asked about buses as an alternative to train.
