Traditionally, PEONY along with PLUM BLOSSOM is the national symbol of China. Peony was selected as national flowers through poll in PRC. 'Peony' is known as'' the flower of riches and honor''. In Japan, peony is called 'the king of flowers' and 'the flower of Chinese medicine' where they adapt peony in traditinal Chinese medication as a treatment for convulsions.
