Guangzhou is a safe city, many people from all over the world come here for business and tour. DongFang Hotel is a very nice Chinese style hotel, it has a big garden inside. If you need any help when you come to Guangzhou, please contact me via email: hotmail.com|caijun_BIll or mob: +86 137 1064 8656.
Cheers!

Guangzhou is safe city, comparing to many international cities.

However, it is less safe than Shanghai or other big Chinese cities.
(pickpocketing & scams are problem, nothing too dangerous...)

Any 5-star hotel area is especially safe, shouldn't worry about that.

Dongfang Hotel area is nice in daytime (boring at night), Garden Hotel area is very lively at night, lots of foreign restaurants & bars, Beijing Road area is famous shopping street alive day & night, etc etc etc...

By the way, Guangzhou is not much of a tourist destination...
1-2 days is max., so you can spend more time in other cities.

Do you recommend DongFang or Bayuin?? Some comments says that Bayuin Hotel have more activity night. I dont want so much nightlife, but a coffee or restaurant.

You're welcome... it's nice to help 1st timers as we all were once ;-)

Baiyun Hotel is very nice hotel in best area for foreign visitor.

Ask them to give you a room with a view of Garden Hotel, it's great.

There you have 2 Starbucks and 50+ good restaurants nearby...

Chinese, Western, Thai, Viet, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Indonesian, Irish, Malaysian... just to name a few! ;-)

(Guangzhou is all about good food and amazing restaurants, enjoy)

Not sure about Moon festival, usually during festivals I run away to another country because HK/China are terribly crowded at the time ;-)

No problem, you're welcome :-)

Plan your business schedule in advance, as all companies in China will be closed several days in case of major holidays.
(and HongKong will be extremely crowded with tourists)
