Nanjing

Hong Kong

Went to Hk to get a crash course in mandarin.
I enjoyed the food, the transportation system and the shopping experience.
Went to Lantau, Big buddha, Ocean park, Disneyland, 10.000 budha, the peak & the monastery.

Huangshan

1 of my best trip in China (comparable to Beijing for me).
Went there by bus from Hefei, stay at the hostel in Tunxi ancient street, tried the meatball on the alley, then went to Xidi & Hongcum with tour from the hostel, went to Tangyue arc by taxi, and finally climb the Huangshan mountain.
Definitely will try to see it again in winter.

Suzhou

Weekend break from Hefei.
Love the gardens & love the canals (although the water is kinda muddy) and also visited Tiger hill.

Went to Shanghai from Hefei for weekend break.
Nothing impress me as for me Shanghai is too modern, and once I see other more ancient cities such as Beijing, I feel nothing special from Shanghai.

Hangzhou

Went to Hangzhou from Hefei but I didnt know it was during big holiday and I had to sleep on a tent. But it was still great holiday, went to see west lake & wangsong school.

I went to Hefei for minor program (some kind of half internship) with my chinese & dutch friends.
Negative:
hard to find people who can speak english
hot & humid
industrial area
Positive:
the people there was very friendly and helpful
close to Huangshan
the food there was cheaper than any other well visited cities in China.
