Juanshui
This is a spectacular small city. The small streets are lined with ancient Chinese buildings. This town is a must see! The people are friendly, the sights are amazing, and the town square is one of the most intersting I have ever seen. Try to leave before night as this pleasent small towns streets transforms into the red light capital of Yunnan.

ABSOLUTLY AMAZING. The karst topography here was incredible. The mountians rise up in all directions. We found a great mountain and explored some caves. Deep in the cave, swimming in a pool of mud was an extravagent feeling. Riding a bike admist the scenery is somthing I will never forget.

Hong Kong
October 1, 2005 - October 2, 2005

Lights, Action, PARTY! Hong Kong is an amazing place. Expensive but the scenery is absoulutly incredible. I mastered the MTR and found my way to CHONGKONG MANSIONS, you wouldnt believe this place. All you have to do to see the sights in Hong Kong is walk around. At night the city radiates and thats when all the fun really starts

Guangxi
September 28, 2005 - September 30, 2005

Arriving in Nanning was a relief. Its a small capital but extremely cheap. Time to stock up on food at the local wal-mart, take a tour of the millions of Mcdonalds and jump on the bus for Hong Kong

Guangxi
September 26, 2005 - September 27, 2005

Rough waters here. I started in Besai and went deep into the country searching for the famous Detain Waterfall. I jumped from bus to bus from village to village. Argued with many locals about prices, and finally arrived. How amazing the waterfall was. So incredible it was worth everything I did, and paid.

Yunnan
September 13, 2005 - September 13, 2005

I found myself at the base Of Dian lake just outside of Kunming. It resembles a reclining women (or so they say) The Gondola ride to the top was easy. The 500 steps was not. After sick of being on the beaten track I bush waked straight up the side of the mountain. Through shrubs, around rocks, and over a minature great wall of China I finally made it to the top. It was incredible!

Yunnan
August 5, 2004 - August 6, 2004

AHHHH CHINA. I arrive at the Loa Cai - Hekou boarder. After meeting an amazing Chinese man who helped me arrange a hotel, bus ticket, and even get dinner ( I ate with him and his wife) I was on my way to Kunming. The city of eternal spring. The road was horrible but arriving in Kunming was absoultly incredible!
