November Trip
I had a friend staying in Shanghai. So things were pretty easy for me.
Metro was very conventient though he stayed far from main station and I had to change subway.
People's Square metro station is like a central station where you can change subway from one line to another and also accessible to the downtown and other hot spots in shanghai.
I went to E Nanjing Road in the afternoon. It is similar to Times Square, with many shops, signboards, lots of people shopping around. There were 6 Mc Donalds on this one road.
Walking to the end of Nanjing Road you come to the river / bund area which gives a nice view of the Skyline and the downtown.
The other side of the river has the oriental tower. The view from the top is very beautiful. The entry prices are high (200 rmb) to go up.
XujiaHui is the technical market back in the city which has a lot of shops selling Electronics, DVD players, TVs, Cameras etc and you can bargain the price. Theres a Pizza Hut nearby.
