Yea it seems many agents have no idea about new rules...

Let us know if you hear some news, we're in the same boat :-)

GUEST19675 Hi all,

Cheers for all the posts so far, they have been insightful !

I too am a victim of the F visa betrayal !!

My issue being, is that they have introduced the new M visa, to replace the F. But no one seems to have any idea about it, or even been issued a M visa yet? Jumping onto the tourist visa every month will be extortionate to the wallet.

The company i am discussing projects with (business technicalities) are also clueless in the bid of the business visa. I can go to HK in 3 weeks, with documents to apply for the M Visa, but will i get one? does it even exist? Will they think i am some sort of multi-gazzillionaire leeching money out of them and reject me entry? -- and then trying to hop onto the tourist visa once im rejected the M Visa, will certainly arouse suspicion that i am indeed leeching all the dumplings out of the city!

i understand chinas fight against people working illegally, but the more they try the more i feel people are simply breaking the rules... while people like my self have to put up with the stress and headache of it all !

GUEST28121 So does this mean the the "Family L visiting Visa is over and gone? And now this Q1 visa is only for family that wishes to visit their foreign son or daughter who works in China with a Z visa? Also meaning that I couldn't use a Q1 visa to visit my wife or child in China.

What about the wife sponsoring us to stay with her and giving us 3 month resident permits up to someday 1 years resident permits? Are those gone too?

There are lots of rumors floating about because China's new Exit-Entry Administration Law went into effect July 1 and the State Council regulations implementing that law sill go into effect on Sept. 1. Skip the rumor and go straight to the source:

State Council Regulations: http://lawandborder.com/?p=2705

GUEST28121 The rumors will continue, because most of the questions we need answered only say this phrase:

"The statute and State Council regulations are silent on this."

GUEST25178 My 90 day L visa was about to expire so I applied for an 90day extention at the PSB, they can only give me 30 days but will do this 3 times for me as each extention expires. Cost 168y each time. You now need 7 days for the visa extention to be proceesed and not 5 as before. I believe if your original visa was 30 then 30 is the max they will give you etc etc etc.

No figerprints, no criminal record needed..

any questions happily answered..

GUEST63154 I used to have a 30 day F visa for business. Extended it in May this year for an other 3 month and I was told that time that a second extention is no problem. Now they send me home because after the law changed, they will not give any second extension, even if you have an older visa. I only asked for 30 day extentions. And by the way there is no "why" any more, only "yes" or "no" and you have to leave the office. So I will sit in an airplane in one week back to Germany.

GUEST04220 Even the spouse visa is still floating, before we can get one year visa multiple entry without any doubt. just a simple question which one i prefer, single, double, multiple or no entry visa.

But now it seems i need to undergo the so called medical examination just to acquire that 1 year visa brrrrrrr. other country provides 5 years family visa for reunification but in china it seems it will bring an expensive reunion with my family and spend a lot of cash for every extension, and not only that every extension i need to take my photo again and again with no ending payment...... so disturbing

What is the essence of family if it is like this
