This hotel in downtown Shanghai has the advantage of being close to everything, including the Buddhist Temple across the street. Unfortunately, the rooms are old and the nightly rate is very high, about USD 80, and I did not feel the service was very good.

Yu Gardens in Shanghai is a MUST to see! The old style architecture combined with the rock trails, landscaping and exhibits of Old China give one a sense of travelling back in time to days gone by. This is truly a spot you do not want to miss!
