- the Yu Yuan Gardens | Shanghai | Jan 11, 2006 13:12
If you go to Shanghai, you must go to the Yu Yuan Gardens. You must take a tour of the garden itself. There is a small fee to walk through it but it will be worth it. There is no fee to walk through the shopping areas and if you want to pick up any gifts this is one of the places to buy them. You can bargan with the seller to get a good deal. There is a lady there who sells hand painted eggs and puts them in a frame. They are beautiful. They are worth picking up. There are also many restaurants you can eat at, from Chinese food to western food like a McDonalds. The visit to the gardens is well worth spending a few hours there.- Travel Journals by INMEDIC (0)
