Suining, Sichuan

Suining is a very small city. It has two temples a KFC, a Walmart supermarket which does not sell beef.,one nightclub called Muse which is often empty. The city has no nightlife unless you like going to KTV with friends.
It is best to travel around the city by taxi Because the bus routes are long and buses are crowded but cheap. However the roads are extremly dangerous and taxi drivers often speed. There is a high speed train line which conects Suining with Chongqing, Chengdu, and the much larger Nanchong. I would guess the population is less than 150,000. It is a poor city which has a large industrial area in comparison with the rest of the city. The surrounding area and places on the edge or even inside the city are very rural.There are many new apartment blocks but many appear empty. Many of the cities residents are farmers.
The summers are hot and the winters are mild. December and early January are the only very cold months. The sky is grey with a cloud of pollution and the sewage from the city goes in to the river that runs through the city.
