Lijiang | June 28, 2006 - July 1, 2006
Unforgettable. The ridiculously expensive but very well designed Banyan Tree hotel. Lijiang old town. Shu He Gu Zhen old town (better than Lijiang). Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Black Dragon Pool. All so picturesque. So much more, but no time to see.- Beijing | June 26, 2006 - June 27, 2006
Twice; once in 2004, once in 2006. Only staying long enough to meet friends introduce by a company colleague. Visited all the usual places, but others only known to the locals. Highlights: the Wall and the Forbidden City of course, but also a rickshaw tour of the Hutong; A Fan Ti international restaurant and stage-show. As a long-nose, be prepared to participate, not entirely voluntarily! - Dalian | June 24, 2006 - July 5, 2006
Been twice to Dalian, 2004, 2006. So much to say, I don't know where to start. And not to be missed except in the tour season: Bing Yu Gou "Guizhou in miniature".
