Trains tickets can be got from any Railway Stations in Beijing. We booked our soft sleepers 4 days in advance at Beijing East Station for RMB 417 on Z19 which was an all soft sleeper fast tain leaving at 7.28 pm and arriving at about 7.00 am. Children below 120 m travelled half price. We returned via Z 20 which leaves around 7.28 pm and arrived in Beijing at about 7.00 am.

We went to the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, The Temple of Heaven, The Prince Gong's Mansion, Soong Ching Ling's Residence, the Great Wall and the Ming's Tombs. Finally we were told by a Beijinger that we should see the China's Nationalities Park. This we did and it was worth going for it was a contrast of a cultural village encompassing the many minority tribes of China. We were entertained with dances and singing at each of these show houses.It was really nice and really worth going even though some of the houses needed better maintenance and upkeep.
