The education administrative departments, the labour administrative departments and other relevant administrative departments of the people's governments of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for the work in relation to Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools within their respective administrative regions in accordance with their functions and duties.

Chapter II Establishment

Article 9 An educational institution which applies for establishing a Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school shall have the legal person status.
