MirandaZhao, If this was an American forum, I would just answer with a lazy “yeah” but in that same breath if this was an American forum your question probably wouldn’t come up. But seeing as we are all learning as we evolve and understanding each others cultures is something to be valued, I will take a few minutes before I feed my dogs breakfast to explain why I added “my dog” to the short list of wants in this hypothetical wife. Here in America, dog ownership is restricted to ones own capabilities such as economics, living situations and commitment. In a land where we dub the dog “mans best friend” there is a HUGE industry serving this pet. Much like there is a huge industry serving babies. Let me make this clear, I am not trying to say that both are the same, babies are much more important. But where else in the world do you got doctors who treat dogs, dog sitters/walkers for those of us who leave town frequently, lol DOG WHISPERERS and dog groomers Much like how we have pediatricians, Nannies, psychiatrist and stylists for babies. Even abusing your dog can land you in a legal bind much like what you would run into with social workers that suspect physical abuse in a home. Dogs have a huge part in American life and we spend lots of time and money on them. The fees are endless, breeder fees, first round of shots that are part of vaccinations, registration into county records the list goes on and on. Even after all these troubles of dog ownership, you will find that 3/5 Americans own a dog (the other 2 must be cats or no pets at all) and some own 2 or more.
