   I knew a few WW2 veterans who disliked the memory of President Roosevelt because they felt he hurt our country by siding with Stalin in the war. Some felt he was duped by Stalin, some felt that Roosevelt had a hidden agenda to help Stalin.
   The Berlin Airlift of 1948 was the first overt act of the Soviet Union against its former Allies. The 1949 Atomic bomb test by The USSR was known to have been accomplished by using stolen secret technology. The Soviet backing of North Korea's invasion of the South resulted in thousands of lives lost.
   The Soviet Union had amply demonstrated that it was to be feared. Access to Soviet archives post-1991 showed many claims of subversive and clandestine activities to be correct - though they may have been ridiculed at the time. 
    The Soviet Union was a threat to World stability and they wanted to be seen in that light.
