The best way to get a job in China is to go through a western-based company, and usually one that includes training and job placement as a service. Most companies either offer a TESOL course OR job placement, but there a re a few who offer both.

Try www.youcanteach.com.au, they are an Australian-based company that offer a TESOL course, guaranteed job placement, help with visas, flights etc and they even come pick you up at the airport in China.

They are also pretty cheap, around US$1200 which is less than most TESOL courses. My roommate went through this company and tsaid they were great, her consultant's name was tom and he helped her with visas and flights and everything. his email is thomas@youcanteach.com.au, or you can just apply via the website.
