He apparently made a few trips back to China after wife number 2 to find wife number 3 (my friend).  Even though she is somewhat of a free spirit, as we say, and certainly not inhibited, she still defers to her husband in almost every situation.

Now that I mention it, I have a distinct interest in hearing other people's thoughts on why on some occasions, young Chinese women marry much older men.  Perhaps to get the opportunity to come to the U.S. or some other western country?  I guess that I should start a new topic, however.  :-)
