I wonder how many foreigners are here illegally under the section that forbids residency to persons with a venereal disease or STD as they are more usually called these days. I think that must remain a rhetorical question.

Griz: I didn't think anyone worried about filling out the residency form these days when staying with friends.  Most people laugh when I have suggested it.  I filled out the forms when I first came to my current college as I started teaching without a Z visa (which the PSB and the local police were fully aware of).  Sure it took some time, but I think it was only because it is a one-horse town and I was his first; my passport is full of Chinese visas and entry exit stamps; and one old visa has fallen out because of the poor quality gum they used.[/quote]
