Huang Shan seems better or more popular but Hua Shan seems easier for a day trip and I can go Longmen Caves on the way. For Huang Shan, if I take the cable car up the west from near Tangkou and down(cable car again) the east way, how much walking is required between the 2 stations on top ? If we just choose to take one cable car way(return) and spend an hour around the station top, can I see much ? Which of the 2 mountains allow me to see better views if I just take the cable car up and return without much walking ?

c) If we take the evening Z train from Shanghai to Beijing, where do you suggest that we can spend the afternoon where we need not be out under the sun too much(October) as we have luggage and wont get a chance to shower until the next day. Is there any locked luggage servive in the train station and what are the attractions nearby ?
