From Luohu, the interchange is at Kowloon Tong.  But there's another stop at Mongkok East.  No, you don't need to change train from Luohu to Mongkok East.
5)  If to Mongkok station you need to get down at Kowloon Tong interchange then take Kwun Tong Line, three stops to Mongkok (after Prince Edward stop).
6)  Ask the receptionist at the ticketing counter in Luohu if the price includes exchange line to Mongkok station.
7)  Apologise for your confusion.  I use the names familiar to Chinese mainland so that they will understand in case you require assistance or information from them.
