I have been married to a Chinese woman for 10 years. She is 2 years younger than me and we are both now in our 50's. At the time I met her I was spending 6 months a year in China. We knew each other 2 years before getting married. Before marriage I did notice she had a dominant personality and I liked that she was a strong woman. The first 6 or 7 years of our marriage was rocky. Lot's of fighting and mostly about money (her spending was out of control). I controlled the fiancees but I paid all her credit cards regardless of how much she spent. She wanted to control most everything in our marriage and I resisted and we had serious fights that nearly led to divorce. Finally I made the decision to let her be in charge of the marriage and let her control the finances. I also agreed to do all the housework. I told her so and she was fine with it but didn't believe I was sincere. I have proved my sincerity. Basically I obey her and don't argue (99% of the time). Surprisingly we both like this new arrangement. Call it a loving FLR. I wish I would have let her be in charge from the start. Her out of control spending stopped overnight and so did the arguing. I own my own business and she does not want to interfere in that. I still see all the finances but most all our money is now in her account. I keep enough money for myself so I am not deprived. Our life is much better now including sex. She does not try to control everything I do and stopped worrying so much about what I do. She is not a heartless dictator. My wife is Chinese but all Chinese are different. I have met many Chinese women in China who act the opposite of my wife (not dominant).
