I have reservations about universal suffrage though.
We all have to call it as we see it with the information that we are given bur perhaps are influenced by our upbringings in ways that we are not aware of?
I was brought up as an orphan. Did this scar me for life about government interference?  I would have to go to therapy to find the answer.
I make no reference to South America as I am not from that continent.
But while on that point it is interesting to compare both the south and the north’s achievements in economic and political stability. As both have been given equal amounts of natural resources. South America’s resources have been squandered by corruption, not pillage from others.
I too admire the way that China has able to move ahead and now takes its place in the World.
It will move from strength to strength.
But I do hope that it (the government) will be a servant of the people rather than their Master.
They deserve a better fate…all people do.
I sincerely hope that we can become Comrades together to speak out against injustice as we see it in this world.
It is as they say “it’s a small world after all”
