>>...In your opinion, did Federer intentionally lose this game or Sampras win this game on his own? How do you view their next game in March in US? I guess that Federer won't give any chance to Sampras and he will win that game.<< You are asking some very good questions! I did watch the match that Sampras won. It wasn't obvious as to whether Federer let Sampras win it. There were quite a few points where Federer missed some really easy shots. Some of them came at critical moments in the sets and Sampras jumped ahead as a result. Some people view this Federer loss as a setup for the Madison Square Gardens match in March 2008. This way it creates more interest than it would had Federer won all three matches in the orient. So I guess the only one who knows for sure about that third match is Federer. :) Another important point about the third match is that it was played on the fastest tennis surface around today. It's even faster than grass. This allowed Sampras to have a distinct advantage over Federer because of Sampras' big serve. In addition to that, the commentators and fans noticed that Federer wasn't serving as hard as he normally does on his first serves. It looked like he was basically serving two second serves most of the time. This allowed Sampras to get into the match and eventually break Federer's serve. I think Federer will win the next match in March. But if they are interested in developing a long series of exhibitions that will last years and years (and earn them lots of money too) then Federer could actually throw the next match to really create interest. We will have to wait and see. :) On another note, I am hoping that Federer ties Sampras' grand slam total of 14 next year.
