I have felt what I think must be yuan fen with my closest male friend for ten years. We have never been lovers but he's the most important man on the planet to me - until I meet my soul mate!  When we met as strangers my soul leapt in recognition and I sensed great warmth from him, literally, physically. We looked at each other in amazement! Recently I dreamed that I was twelve years old, in another time, another place. My mother was lying on a straw mattress, dying from fever. I ran through the woods to a hut where a reclusive  man gave me a potion. I gave this to my mother and she recovered. Later I returned to that recluse in the woods, and as his eyes met mine in gratitude I recognised the face of my current friend of ten years. Is this yuan fen?
