I also know that foreign staff have to declare themselves "Correspondents" in order to get a work visa through web, and not as teachers.  This gets them around having to pay out medical insurance / pensions, presumably.

Web should be reminded that cheating the Labour department this way in China is a capitol offense![/quote]
