Too often people harbour resentments and think that 'marrying out' of their culture will bring solutions. This is naive. Human beings are human beings. Everone has got baggage.

I love the way you describe Western ladies as if they are all one breed and type. This is called 'othering' and it upsets me because I am a caring and giving person, not self centred like you describe 'us'.

I would hate my culture to be associated with that of American culture, a culture in which some Chinese believe selfishness is a national trait (not gender trait) . American culture should not be the face of western culture, this saddens me.
