Manchester United's winger Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea's striker Didier Drogba have been nominated for Player of the Year organized by the Professional Football Association.

Manchester United dominated the six-man shortlist with Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs also among nominations. But they still face competition from Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and Arsenal's midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
