He's helped me through arguing with my parents. And being honest, I don't want to be away from him to go to Hong Kong to re-new my ID card. My parents tell me that I can't bring him to Hong Kong with me, but I see no reason why not?

I'm really unfamiliar with how the re-newing of an ID card works when you turn 18, but I'm sure my boyfriend would be able to access all the areas where the renewals take place am I right? If not please educate me.

My parents will not approve of taking my boyfriend and I really don't want to go without him, because of my parents. And I also don't know how to resolve this?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
