Do you have the habit of writting diaries or journals? I had the habit when I was at Primary school. Actually, it was an assignment by our Chinese teachers. In the past, we wrote journals in a small paper notebook. As the advancement of Internet, various weblogs and spaces are provided by webmasters for users to record their personal experience and anecdotes. Facebook, Windowspace, QQ space (popular in China) provide such kinds of service. Opening a blog became a trend in China. Various people, ranging from celebs to grass-roots, open their blogs at various websites. Some of them made the name through publishing articles in their blogs. Actually, it is positive to see that blog perform as a platform for people (either strangers or acquaintainces) to exchange ideas and values as well as sharing your personal anectdotes with others. To some extent, blog has functioned as a bridge for people to interact in the fast changing and fast-paced society. In the daytime, you may be engrossed in making money and working for your bosses. When night falls, isn’t it a good idea for you to enjoy the tranquility and read through your counterparts’ thought? A common scene is as follow, when you commuted from your home to workplaces, almost all the people kept phlegmatic on public transportation. The worst scenario is that you have a private car, driving to the workplace alone, and then driving to your nest alone. IMHO, we might disguise ourselves too much in the real world so that we need a virtual space to display the true self and the real individuality, and meanwhile, blog caters to such needs. That is why blog becomes popular. Am I right? Well, on the other hand, writing your stories at blog, you risk your privacy being exposed. Usually, we are inclined to reveal some personal information about ourselves such as cell phone number, email address, etc, which probably incurred troubles for us. So be careful! For the celebs, it should be a big taboo. For those who are conservative and quite inner-going, you should take more precaution. Blog will be more likely to betray you. Perhaps, your initial motive is to lend the wings to imagination in a relatively private and small space. The result may be against your will. Even worse, it is a traitor who sold your privacy. Do you have a blog? Do you contribute your writings regularly at your blog? What do you think of the function of blog? Blog, display individuality or reveal your privacy?
