Hi everyone,

So after travelling to (most likely) Yunnan with my family at the end of the year/ new year, I'll be travelling with a friend up to Tibet, and most like spending about 10-14 days there. Originally I had wanted to spend maximum time in Tibet, and afterwards catch a train back to Guangzhou and then plane back to Sydney. After all my thinking and (minor) planning, I forgot to factor in Chinese New Year. So it looks like I'll be back in Guangzhou about a week earlier than I anticipated. (This is assuming that my friend will be going back home (Beijing) for Chinese New Year, if not then more travelling time in Tibet or nearby =) ) 
But assuming I will be back early, I would like to go somewhere nearby. Yangshou was suggested, and my mom suggested Zhangjiajie.
So where would be better? And how difficult will it be travelling during Chinese New Year? Or should I not go anywhere and just stay in Guangzhou because travelling during Chinese New Year is too difficult?
