I'm a 'foreigner' who, since 2005 spent a few month every winter in Da Dong Hai and I constatly adimired, in particular, the cliffs in the S-W's side and the bay's overall natural beauty. Maybe a reader on this site may enlighten us on the significance of the signs and of the Da Dong Hai region to the Chinese people.

Recently I noticed with great dissapointment the aparition of a fourth 'sign', actually a dessecrating graffitti in Russian letters. This can be seen on the picture I attched and on my page on this site. I hope the local authorities will find the time to erase this new 'sign' and restore the cliffs to their original sate!
