I am a current Australian university student , and I will be coming to Chang Sha in July this year. I have (somehow) made it to the second round of the "Hanyu Bridge" Chinese Proficiency
 Competition that is being held in Changsha.

I have never been to Hunan province, and I have a few questions:

1) If i bring a laptop, will wireless internet be widely available?
2) I have heard a rumor that "Facebook" is banned in China, is this true?
3) I know it'll be summer when I'm there, but does it get cold at nights?
4) If anyone has heard of this competition, could you tell me more about it please?

5) the most important one: I would LOVE to learn some Xiang Chinese/ Chang Sha hua.( Is this the major dialect spoken in Changsha? ) I speak semi-intermediate mandarin but I would like to be able to communicate with the locals in their own dialect. Could someone out there teach me a few sentences? That'd be fantastic!
