It was difficult to find a STD rapid testing clinic on the weekend, so I didn't.
I had a Tuberculosis test, though.
I applied for my visa at 10:30 am today.
I got the visa at 2 PM.
I recommend to do rush processing if you have to get a visa with a criminal record.
It rushes them and makes it harder for them to find errors.
Make a doctor do the physical part. Even if you cannot get the blood tests, this shows them you tried. 
If you need a criminal record certificate, make sure you check your local consulate. Sometimes you need it before employment, sometimes you need it post employment.

Then, show up early. Look nice.
