Datong to Taiyuan (by train?) with a quick visit to Pingyao maybe??
Taiyuan by train to Xian
From Xian fly to Nanning
Nanning to Guilin by bus
Guilin to Hong Kong (is flying possible??)
HK-Macau-HKfor a day
HK fly back to Beijing

Is there any advice anyone can give on how long in each town/area, maybe special things to see , slightly "off the map",but not too far as we dont speak chinese![/quote]
