Hello, I'm Paulo from Portugal, and I have few doubts, so I would like to ask you guys some stuff connected to it, hope this amazing community can help me out. Well, I'm thinking to move to China, to be with a girl who I met almost 2 years ago in internet we talk everydays and the fact is both of us fall in love, and we want to be together, so I'm trying to know some stuff like, how hard is for us foreingers to get married there? do we need lot of stuff? I have been reading this forum for a while, so far, very little about what i read really took out my doubts. (PS: I already know her family, so I know she is not a golddigger, plus both of us came from poor families, so we give valor to other things, what I mean is, we're not materialist at all, so far I never had that feeling about her) other is, I'm thinking to apply to a university there to learn chinese, do you guys know if is too expensive? I want to use this way, because I wanna be with that girl, also in this way I can stay legal, we could just get married right away, but not sure if is it possible. in case is possible to study there, after get the visa, can i extend it more? or do I need to leave the country and apply again? I heard those courses take around 6 month, from monday to friday, 4h per day, well i would be interested at first 6 month,(depending of the university prices of course) and then probably me and her, if we get along would get married, because one thing is fall in love by internet, other is living with her. If we get married may I stay there, or is too hard to get the long stay visa? I ask this, because she is not really interested to come to Portugal any time soon...she asked me to go there to live with her in there for a couple of years(who can blame her?, Portugal nowadays is not a place for young people such me, because no job oportunities) I know even if I marry, I can't legally work there, well since I'm earning money throw internet(as Portuguese teacher, to a chinese company), that aint be a problem I guess. Also learn mandarin is a plus, because I already know 3 languages, and I can communicate in all of them, being Portuguese, English and Spanish, of course I still have a lot to improve, in English and Spanish as well, but so far I feel I'm fine with my corrent level. Thank you guys for any possible answer and for enlight me, because I do need some light in this matter. . . PS: I'm thinking to go to China next year, around summer time(in case i get all the money needed...) also I wanna be legal there, because I want to respect China politics. sorry for any possible grammar mistakes sincerely Paulo
