[quote=ELLYSE,359411]There's no direct train from Xi'an to Yiwu. Not sure about buses, but it's a long distance so even if there're direct buses, it wouldn't be comfortable for that long. If you go by train, go via Shanghai. Quickest train is Z94/Z91 (1749--0729, 13h40min), which arrives at Shanghai main train station. One-way fare ranges from 182 RMB (hard seat), 312-333 RMB (hard sleeper) to 490-511 RMB (soft sleeper). You're well-advised to buy this as much in advance as possible. Most fast trains to Hangzhou leave from Shanghai South train station, which's about 50 mins by metro from Shanghai main train station. If you don't want to bother with that, you should take N429 (0815--1041, 2h26min) from Shanghai main train station, one-way fare is 33 RMB. Otherwise, from Shanghai South train station, you could try for D657 (0930--1048, 1h18min) from Shanghai South train station, one-way fare is 54/64 RMB for 2nd/1st-class seat. This is a much nicer train than N429. If you can afford it, best would be to fly. There're also no direct flights, so my best suggestion would be to fly to Hangzhou where there're direct buses to Yiwu from the airport. If you're flying this weekend (Sat 21/2), there's a morning flight to Hangzhou at 0810, arriving at 0945, the rest of the flights are in the afternoon so I don't think they'll be worth the time. Current fare is 500 RMB including taxes, one-way. You can then catch the bus to Yiwu at 1030, for 60 RMB.
