Taboos of Miao Ethnic Group
1. Alcohol is a must for dinner at Miao family. If a guest can accept it, the host will feel flattered. Even if you cannot drink, you may taste or sip a little bit to show your respect to the host; otherwise it would be regarded impolite;
2. Elders are highly respected. For an extended family, young couples should not be too intimate in the public;
3. White rooster shall never be a gift;
4. Never tramp on the iron triangle in the oven;
5. The grass hung on the doorway indicates there is someone ill at home and guests are not welcome.
