One person can bring only one pet (dog or cat) into China and the owner need to make an entry inspection. The documents needed in the entry inspection include: the valid certificate of rabies vaccine injection from your home country (it should be done within 30 days of your departure day); health certificate of your pet; your passport and visa issued by China government

I brought my dog from Vancouver, Canada over to Beijing, China 5 years ago and back then it costed 10,000 RMB. The actual process probably didn't cost that much, but this person and company had a "backdoor" with the mandatory quarantine issue, and I had my dog out and on our way to the apartment in a few hours from the airport. I don't know how they got her through so quickly, but on the website, it stated a mandatory 7 day quarantine period at the time.
