I'm concerned about whether or not I will be a good English teacher. I've never taught before. I don't know Chinese either...What vaccines should I get before leaving the states? Is Malaria or Japanese encephalitis common? What about safety? Is the crime rate high? I will be living at the university so I should be safe right? What about medical insurance? The university offers basic medical coverage. Will that be enough or should I get travel insurance? My dad is really nervous about me going to China. Is there a website I can go to for references on my program?
