GUEST23141 I have an International flight from Pudong Airport at 08.15 am, meaning I have to be at the airport at 05.15 am. Are there any options from Railway Station except taxi?

0515?? For an international flight leaving at 0815, arriving at 0600 would be more than enough time. Even if you get there at 0515, the check-in counters wouldn't be open yet!
The earliest airport shuttle leaves Shanghai main train station (I presume you meant this one, and not Shanghai South train station) at 0530. Journey time at that hour should be 40-60 mins, so you should arrive in time to check in for your flight.

GUEST12281 WE will arrive at the Pudong Airport on August 13. We will stay at the Shanghai Hilton Hotel. How should we travel? Taxi,Bus or train and how long will it take? How much will it cost? There are 5 o f us traveling. Will we need 2 Taxi's to accomodate us and the luggage?

GUEST88367 I will be arriving Pudong Airport Oct 7 at 2pm. From there, I am flying to Beijing, preferably same day. What is a realistic connecting time (after clearing custom and looking for connecting flight)? I read on different forums that China flights are notoriously not on time. Is a 4:20pm flight Shanghai to Beijing pretty safe?

Are you looking to cut costs? If you are, take airport shuttle no.2 to the final terminus at the CAAC office beside Jing'an Temple, on Nanjing Xilu, and then catch 2 taxis from there for 11 RMB per taxi. If you take 2 taxis from Pudong airport I would expect to pay in the region of 150-180 RMB per taxi, assuming daytime and depending on traffic conditions.
For the connecting flight, make sure that you get one that's also leaving from Pudong airport, not Hongqiao airport. Seeing that you need to get your baggage and check-in again for the next flight, I would get a connecting flight departing no earlier than 1730, actually. Better safe than sorry.

GUESTFAHAD The shuttle service is very nice & comfortable too. Need to introduce more buses. If metro is introduced then it is the best.

Previous posts have suggested a taxi will cost about 200 rmb, ie about $30 - $35 (US or Aus).. That is a fraction of the airfare and as you have a child I would say it is a bargain.

You're arriving on the Cebu Pacific flight, I assume. Since you have an infant (and I presume quite a fair amount of luggage too), please save your sanity and take a direct taxi. It's not the cheapest option, but it's the easiest.

GUEST41951 Is there a bus from Shanghai South station to Pudong as well? If so, please give details as to where to pick it up and frequency of departure/travel time.

thanks
