hi, i need some help, i will be taking the fast train at 10am this thursday jan 8 2009, to shanghai, im guessing it would be the shanghai south railway station, i would like to ask the best and not so expensive way to get to shanghai pudong airport? my flight is at 430pm. i took the taxi last time i went from south railway station to pudong and it costed me around 200rmb. is there a better way? direct bus from south railway station to pudong? or the train? please advice. thanks. i will be carrying 1 full size bag, 1 shoulder bag and a laptop bag. thanks. my full size bag and shoulder bag should be around 20kg combined.

The fast D trains do not necessarily arrive at Shanghai South train station. Where are you coming from? What train number are you on?
There're airport shuttles from both Shanghai main and Shanghai South train stations to Pudong airport. From Shanghai main train station, airport shuttle no.5 for 18 RMB/pax; from Shanghai South train station, airport shuttle no.7 for 20 RMB/pax IIRC.

i am coming from yiwu, how long will it take from the station to pudong airport by bus? every how long is the bus from train station to airport? should i take the bus or train? thanks!

D686, I presume? That arrives at 1218 at Shanghai South train station.
Airport shuttle no.7 leaves every 30 mins and takes about 1+ hour to reach Pudong airport. That's the mos direct method.
