Hi all
I got to ask you all if you have the basic cost for a normal 30 day tourist vise for China,im Australian.
Ill probably only want 14 days if that.
I want to cross over by land from Laos into China visiting Kunming then over west to the rail to catch a train to Hanoi, Veitnam.
Some one mentioned around US$100 for a China visa , if thats so they can keep it, ill give China a miss, although that would be a pity as I will be so close.
I hope that figure is wrong.
Its just that I want to arrange my travel plans, and I can not find nil on the internet and trying to contact the embassy here is an impossible task.
Cheers All.

If you miss China because the visa costs $100 USD it is your loss.

I thought the cost of a tourist visa was around Aud $30.00.
The Chinese consulate is on the net in Oz and easy to use. It has all info that you will need, along with costs etc.

Yes for us it is quite cheap but small fees increase the total cost. Registered mail and prepaid return registered envelope plus and extra $10 handling fee. Don't forget this. All up $40 plus postage.
