normally, i would like 2 say "hows it going". does it sound like a standard western greeting saying.lol. I reckon i am one of those, as a Chinese who does not like Chinese culture at all. lol

yes..it is very diffrent
in china, "have you eaten " means "hello, or how are you '
as a long time ago,most people didn't have enogh food for eating,so they were hungry usaully.when some people met someone,would care that are you hungry ? but in Western countries,people usaully had enough food before,so they just care their health !!
