Hi Iceblue.
I bought them for comfort and I did wear brown ones too, they are like walking on air, these days I wear Magnum boots made by Hi-Tec these too are very comfortable.

I never liked Birkenstock either but everyone I know who has a pair swears that they are the most comfortable sandals ever.
